Discover all its secrets in our complete analysis in Spanish.
First of all, we thank Asus for the trust placed in us when transferring the product to us for analysis.
Asus ROG Ryujin 360 technical characteristics
Unboxing and design
The Asus ROG Ryujin 360 ships in a standard ROG-style packaging box made of cardboard. The front has a black background with the Asus Republic of Gamers logo and brand name printed in red on the upper left. There is an image of the unit showing the RGB lighting and the OLED display on the block. The Asus AURA Sync-compatible informational label is printed at the bottom right.
The back of the case has the Asus ROG brand name and logo printed on the upper left in red, followed by the silver print on the ROG Ryujin 360. There are four images of the unit that highlight the special features. of the cooler. Specifications are printed below the images. The bottom has outstanding features printed in 10 different languages. We are facing a top-of-the-range product, so all the information available is welcome.
When you open the box, the standard ROG style will be displayed at the bottom of the top cover. There is an Asus ROG brand and logo printed in the center. You can see the cardboard box that adds rigidity and additional protection to the contents, with cardboard molds to correctly separate each element.
In total it includes:
- Asus ROG Ryujin 3603x Radiator Noctua iPPC 2000 120mm PWM Fans Micro USB User Manual
As in other cooling products, the adapter for the TR4 socket is not available, but we will have it in the accessories that come with the CPU, so there would be no problem.
Let's now look at the design of this cooler followed by our tests to see what it can offer us. The dimensions of the radiator are 394 mm x 121 mm x 27 mm, where 27 mm is the thickness or height of the radiator, so we are clearly facing a 360 mm mount. This water-air exchanger is made of aluminum with abundant and fine fins.
The total thickness of the fin stack is approximately 24mm, just like its brother the Ryujin 240. There is no cover plate under the mounting holes on this radiator, so we must be careful when installing the fans since long screws could easily damage the fins. The best thing will be to use the screws that come pre-installed.
The 360mm radiator of this Asus ROG Ryujin 360 and the block are joined by the 38mm tubes made of rubber, which have a braided finish on the entire outside to reinforce them and further improve the seal. The union of the tubes is of the highest quality, so the risk of a liquid leak is non-existent
Let's take a look now at one of the most important elements of this cooler, which is the CPU pump block. The Asus ROG Ryujin 360 is equipped with the latest design of microchannel cooling plates that provide more heat dissipation area for the heat from the processor, since the effective area of passage of the fluid is greater.
According to Asus, Ryujin's copper plate has 30% less thermal resistance at 0.12 ° C / W. This innovative feature improves performance efficiency and cooling block temperatures, and much more thanks to the Astek pump with Asus custom PCB for additional functionality. The pump casing appears to be made of plastic and measures 100 x 100 x 70 mm in total .
It is finished in a black color tone and looks very impressive in person, plus it has a removable top cap. Below, we can see that the block consists of two parts, the upper part with the 1.77-inch 16.7 million-color OLED screen and the addressable RGB lighting solution with Asus AURA Sync technology. If we look under the top case, we will see a 60mm fan. This is another feature that sets this cooling block apart from the rest, where the built-in fan is used to lower the temperatures of the VRM / M.2 located near the CPU socket area. This fan can go up to 4800 RPM giving an air pressure of 3.23 mmH2O and a flow of 19.41 CFM. All this generates a noise of 31 dB (A) and can be controlled from the AiSuite software.
The finish of the upper part consists of a frosted gray diffuser with a diagonal line just above the OLED screen, which features RGB LED lighting with Asus AURA Sync technology, we can also appreciate the distinctive "Republic of gamers". Speaking a little more about the screen customization options, we can see different parameters represented, such as CPU and fluid temperature, fan RPM and processor frequency and voltage. But if we prefer, we can place a custom image or leave the Asus logo animated.
In this pumping block of the Asus Ryujin 360, there are four cables coming out of the rear:
- SATA cable.1x 4-pin connector cable1x 3-pin splitter cable1x micro USB cable
We see that they are enough, and we will have to do a good job to hide them as best as possible and better the final appearance.
Now that we've taken a look at the block, it's time to look at its base. We have a 54mm diameter circular base made of copper and it comes with pre-applied thermal paste. The Intel mounting bracket comes pre-installed. It can be easily removed to install AMD mounting bracket.
This Asus ROG Ryujin 360 does not have any fan, not at all, the brand has chosen a Noctua NF-F12 industrial iPPC 2000 PWM. If there is an unbeatable brand in fans that is Noctua and Asus knows it. The three that are mounted are 120 mm and capable of rotating at 2000 rpm, providing an air flow of 121.8 m 3 h and a static pressure of 3.94 mmH2O. The noise they generate is 29.7 dB (A) and, of course, drivers will be using PWM.

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with the powerful Intel Core i9-9900k at stock speed. As usual, our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values, since being a ten-core processor and with high frequencies, temperatures can be high.
In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature? For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe it is one of the best monitoring software that exists today. Without further delay, we leave you the results obtained:
Overclocking tests
We did not want to lower the level of our analyzes and we have also done a stock vs overclock performance test on the i9-9900k. Remember that these processors are welded between the DIE and the IHS. If we make a good delid we would have better temperatures, since the thickness of the DIE is higher than normal, one more shit from Intel, for a change. We leave you the results obtained with 5 GHz and 1.32v.
Overclock test | Idle | Full |
I9 9900k @ 5 GHz on all its cores | 33 ºC | 77 ºC |
software
As we already saw in the 240 mm version, it incorporates an OLED screen compatible with ROG's LIVEDASH. This allows us to monitor any component of our PC with this fantastic tool, which will display the data on this screen. We can also insert a custom image or banner. What's more, can you put a picture of your cat on the block?
Without forgetting the RGB fair and the multitude of effects to synchronize it with the other Asus components compatible with Aura RGB. Good job Asus!
Final words and conclusion about Asus ROG Ryujin 360
Asus enters the world of liquid cooling through the front door and the Asus ROG Ryujin 360 is a sample of this. A fantastic radiator with a 36 cm grill, a block with RGB lighting, a led screen and a fan that supports the cooling of the power and CPU phases.
Both this version and the Ryujin 240 mm offer enough capacity to cool any processor on the market (i7, i9, Ryzen and Threadripper). Our temperature tests demonstrate this. Great job!
We recommend reading the best heatsinks on the market
The software is very successful and allows us to adjust many options. The good worker of the Asus developers shows. We look forward to many updates and more effects for this kit.
We know that AIO 360mm Liquid Cooling Kits are not cheap and this kit is no exception: 259 euros in major online stores. In this case, the price rise is understood by the 1.77-inch OLED screen and the fan built into the block. What do you think of the new refrigerator? We want to know your opinion!
