The Asus Sabertooth Z170S is presented in an arctic white box, where we see large letters with the name of the product. Already in the back we have all the most important technical characteristics.

Inside we find the following bundle:

The Asus Sabertooth Z170S is an ATX format motherboard with dimensions of 30.4 cm x 22.4 cm for the LGA 1151 socket . The plate has a design with arctic camouflage and really beautiful to look at. The PCB is fully painted in white and the gray details give it an incredible touch.

The motherboard features two zones with cooling: power phases and Z170 chipset. It has 8 + 4 power phases supported by Digi +, TurboV (TPU) and Asus PRO CLOCK technology. What does this whole set of technology do? offers us the best experience, durability and overclocking possibilities on a high-end board. It has 4 available 64 GB compatible DDR4 RAM memory sockets with frequencies up to 2400 Mhz and compatible with the XMP 2.0 profile.

The Asus Sabertooth Z170S presents a rather interesting layout to be a plate of just 200 euros. It has three PCIe 3.0 to x16 slots and three other PCIe 3.0 connections at x1 speed.

The Sabertooth Z170S is compatible with Nvidia's 2 Way SLI and AMD's 3 Way CrossFireX.

It is also important to know that it incorporates a slot for the M.2 connection to install any disk of this format and type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (42/60/80 and 110mm). The bandwidth is multiplied up to 32 GB / s. It is clear that it could not be missing!

It incorporates an improved 8-channel Realtek ALC1150 sound card sound card. Among its most interesting features is the compatibility with amplifiers for headphones and high impedance speakers. The sound is really good, although in the ROG series it sounds slightly better than in this TUF series.

To check the stability of the i5-6600k processor at 4500 MHZ and the motherboard we have stressed with Prime 95 Custom and air cooling. The graphics we have used is an Nvidia GTX780, without further delay, let's see the results obtained in our tests with a 1920 × 1080 monitor.

BIOS
