Asus makes us a very minimalist in a compact box and where the gray color predominates. On the front we have a 1: 1 scale image of the product and the name of the product, while on the back the serial number and part number of the product.

Once we open it we find a very complete bundle:

• VivoStick PC (TS10). Adapter and power cable for Spanish connection. HDMI Extender. Instruction manual and quick guide. Support and adhesive to fix on any surface.

The Asus VivoStick PC has very contained dimensions: 135 x 36 x 16.5 mm and a weight of 75 grams. That is, the size of the first USB sticks that were launched. As we can see it is just what you are looking for, a device that must pass discreetly on any television, projector or monitor when using the color black.

On one of its sides we can see small notches that are responsible for cooling the device and a mini-USB connection as its power source.

On the other side we can see another slot for cooling the Asus VivoStick PC, a USB 3.0 connection, another USB 2.0 and a sound output.

Here we can see the power button of this device. Once it has current, it turns blue.

It has an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor manufactured at 14 nm and a speed of 1.44 GHz base. It has a total of four 64-bit processors, 2 MB of cache and a consumption (TDP) of 2 W (Yes, 2 W… like crazy). As internal memory of the system it presents 32 GB eMMC and 100 GB in the ASUS Webstorage cloud for one year.

Such equipment must be accompanied by a good graphics card for its size Intel HD 40 for HD and Full HD resolution.

Among its connectivity it presents a 802.11 AC wireless network card and a Bluetooth V4.1 connection. It already comes standard with Windows 10 64-bit.

Performance, consumption and temperature tests

We know that it is not the most powerful processor we have analyzed, but its 100 cb in Cinebench R15 is already a breakthrough for such a small device. As you can see with AIDA64 the result of reading and writing from memory is quite good.

One of its weakest points from our point of view is the speed of the internal memory that works with the operating system. The results of 140 MB / s and 73 MB / s in sequential reading are not what we expected, with a higher quality chip it would surely reach the speed of a low-end SSD and the operating system would be much more fluid.

Regarding product temperatures, it is quite cool thanks to its standard fan , which is responsible for cooling everything on the Asus VivoStick PC. And its consumption is so insignificant that it has an average of 5 W at maximum power and 2W at rest.

Asus is doing a really important job on energy efficient devices and ideal equipment for the living room. The Asus VivoStick PC is one of the best pencil format miniPCs on the market.
