Asus has quietly added a new monitor monitor to its product line. The VP28UQG features 4K resolution, a 1ms response time, as well as AMD's FreeSync dynamic refresh rate technology, which has become a standard for any self-respecting display for gamers.

VP28UQG is the new ASUS 'Gamer' monitor

The new monitor does not belong to the ASUS RoG family, which is characterized by Premium products, as it does not support high image update rates, so everything points to Asus positioning it as an entry-level monitor.

The ASUS VP28UQG is equipped with a 28-inch TN panel in a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K), brightness of 300 nits, a contrast ratio of 1000: 1 with viewing angles of 170 ° to 160 °, one time response time of only 1 ms and 60 Hz in refresh rate.

In this presentation, ASUS did not want to comment on the range of colors that this monitor covers, but we imagine that it will be sRGB.

It is clear that ASUS intends this monitor to appeal to gamers who don't want to spend too much money on products that may have refresh rates above 60Hz but are too expensive, like the RoG series. ASUS VP28UQG would be placed, in this way, in a very attractive intermediate alternative for gamers.

It should be noted that this model has GamePlus technology that adds cross-linking on the screen, FPS counter, timer, among other interesting details to check the performance of games without the need to add any application to the system.

ASUS has not yet wanted to reveal the price that this model will have, but it will be available from this third quarter of the year, that is, we will see it soon in stores.
