Ati hd7990: features and models

Just 5 days ago ATI launched its most powerful and fastest dual GPU on the market: ATI HD7990 "Malta", equipped with two "Tahiti" processors (GPUs). Scarcely a year ago Powercolor, Club3d, Asus Ares 2 and VTX3d launched their own design of the 7990 but I did not have a major success, because of price and problems with electrical noise in idle.

This new version, as standard, is the "Malta" version equipped with the "Tahiti XT2" GPUs. They are still the same architecture, but improving performance and lower energy consumption.

Is there a difference between the GTX TITAN and the 7990? This question can be easily solved. The Ati HD7990 is more powerful than the GTX TItan, because they are two GPUS on the same PCB. But the GTX Titan is more powerful as a single card and without the hassle of dual setups.

We start with the Asus HD7990-6GD5, which like all new models comes equipped with a triple cooling system. Although it does not have a custom PCB or liquid cooling, Asus will allow us to get the most out of it with its Tweak Voltage program.

Club3D was one of the first manufacturers to bet on this graphic, and its engineers know it perfectly. As we can see the only difference between one brand and another will be the fan stickers. You know, buy the one that comes out cheaper.

HIS also relies on and is encouraged by this card. The only difference that its logo goes on the central fan and the cornering the model.

PowerColor was also the second to trust this GPU with its "Devil 13" version. For those who do not know, their D + I is shared with Club3d.
