Audeze presents the lcd headphones

Audeze unveiled its LCD-GX headset this weekend. According to the company, it is the "world's first purist high-end gaming headset." This means that it is purely analog and that there is no digital signal processing involved.

Audeze Introduces LCD-GX Headphones with Analog Sound

The headset features an open design with Audeze's patented Fluxor magnets and Uniforce planar diaphragms. In fact, these speakers are "two to four times larger" than other 103mm gaming headsets. The result is "unprecedented sound quality with clear voice chat for the serious audiophile player, " according to the official product page.

In addition to performance, the LCD-GX is comfortable and durable. The headphones are handcrafted at the Audeze factory in California and have a magnesium shell. This allows it to be lighter and at the same time structurally stronger.

The LCD-GX is sold with a detachable cable with a built-in directional microphone that attenuates noise. It comes with 2 interchangeable cables: A microphone cable and a standard LCD series cable. This boom microphone cable ends with a 1/8 ″ TRRS 4 plug for use with virtually all PCs, Smartphones, and other devices. Also included is a dual 1/8 ″ splitter for separate headphone and microphone inputs and a 1/4 ″ stereo adapter.
