The ATL company was in charge of manufacturing the batteries for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but rest assured, they were not responsible for the phones exploding, but the Samsung SDI Co division, who manufactured 70% of the batteries for that model.. Fortunately ATL did its job well and they have now announced a new 40W fast charge batteries that charge in just 34 minutes.

These fast charging batteries would be present in the next Samsung Galaxy

China-based manufacturer ATL (Amperex Technology Limited) introduced its new fast-charging battery models that will come in three flavors. It is precisely the 3000 mAh battery that charges from 0 to 100% in 34 minutes and from 0 to 80% in 18 minutes according to laboratory tests.

ATL states that this fast charge will not affect shortening the life time of the battery, which is maintained at around 500 cycles like most batteries that we can find today in the smartphone and tablet sector. They can even be 700 cycles if charged at 80%.

These new fast-charging batteries will hit the mash starting next year, most likely with Samsung's new Galaxy models that will directly benefit from these autonomy innovations.
