After our performance comparisons of the latest generations of Intel Core processors, we took advantage of the recent launch of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 to compare its performance against various cards from Nvidia itself and from AMD that are in a similar price range.

This time we are going to compare the GeForce GTX 950 against the GTX 750Ti, GTX 960, R7 360 and R7 370 cards in a total of nine current games at 1080p resolution and a level of detail one step below the maximum to be able to draw conclusions relevant.

Regarding the maximum consumption of the complete equipment with each card, it is as follows:

GTX 950, great little card to play at FullHD resolution

The results obtained speak for themselves, the GeForce GTX 950 is only surpassed by the GTX 960, which is closely followed. In five of the video games the test has shown sufficient performance to operate at an average of 60 FPS or very close while the remaining three have obtained an average higher than 38 FPS.

It is undoubtedly a small card with a price of less than 200 euros that will allow us to enjoy our video games at 1080p resolution and a level of detail superior to that offered by the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Its only obstacle in the market can be the GTX 960 of the own Nvidia that offers superior performance at a price only about 20 euros higher in the cheapest models.
