Biostar va47d5rv42 is a new graphics card focused on mining

The fever for the mining of cryptocurrencies continues, in recent days we have seen how manufacturers were increasing interest in taking out new optimized hardware, Biostar has announced its new Biostar VA47D5RV42 graphics card, a version of the Radeon RX 470D that has been optimized for cryptocurrency mining.

Biostar VA47D5RV42 is based on the design of the RX 470/480 although it makes use of the Radeon RX 470D chip to achieve greater energy efficiency. The graphics core is accompanied by 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 256-bit interface. If we focus on the core specifications we see that it is a somewhat reduced version of the Polaris 10 silicon, in total it presents 1, 792 active stream processors that are spread over 28 Compute Units.

The core works at a speed of 1200 MHz while the memory does it at 7000 MHz to maintain a high bandwidth around 224 GB / s, remember that Ethereum mining is very dependent on the memory bandwidth by which is essential to keep this parameter as high as possible.
