Blueborne: the attack that affects bluetooth

Bluetooth is more insecure than many users thought. A great vulnerability has been discovered that makes it possible for another person to access and control our device. It affects computers and mobiles, both Android and Apple. So this threat affects all users.

BlueBorne: The attack that affects Bluetooth

Anyone who is nearby and gets the signal from our Bluetooth can execute an attack capable of controlling the mobile without us realizing it. You can enable functions or access all our files and download our photos or files. So the problem is quite serious.

Bluetooth vulnerability

BlueBorne is the name of this attack. It takes advantage of the fact that Bluetooth is constantly searching for connections. Then it launches a memory corruption exploit. When the attacker manages to access the user's mobile, they can run the screen view remotely. And so control the cursor as if it were a mouse. The worst thing is that the user does not know that this occurs.

Microsof, Google and Apple were already aware of this problem with Bluetooth. Apparently all companies have already developed a security patch to fix this vulnerability. And it's available in the September security patch. So those phones that receive it should update as soon as possible. And so protect yourself.

In the video at the top you can see how this attack works. And you can see that it is not so difficult for someone to run BlueBorne. So the threat via Bluetooth is real. Luckily, it looks like the September security patch will end this problem. Hopefully so, because millions of users are vulnerable to it.
