How to activate led notifications on your iphone

Notifications are an essential feature on any smartphone or tablet. They inform us of what interests us most: a new news item, a new text or WhatsApp message, a mention on Twitter, a “like” on Instagram, and much more. We can be alerted to new notifications by sound and / or vibration, but did you know that you can also use the LED flash on your iPhone to be alerted to new alerts?

A few days ago we told you how to improve the iPhone battery, and although the function that I am going to describe logically supposes a greater consumption of resources and energy, it is also a good feature that warns us in a different way that we have new notifications ready to be consulted.

When we activate the LED notifications on our iPhone, the camera flash will flash every time we receive a new notification. And when we have an incoming call, it will blink intermittently until we pick up or reject the call. Of course it is not a good option in certain situations, for example, when we go to the movies or the theater, because it will be a nuisance.

Activating LED notifications is a very simple process that you can perform by following the steps below:

1. First, open the Settings app on your iPhone, select the General section.

   

   Within it, go to the Accessibility section.

   

   Look for the Flashing LED Alerts option .

   

   On the next screen, activate this setting by pressing the slider next to that option.

   

   In addition, you can also activate another setting, just below, thanks to which the screen of your device will flash when you have it silent and receive new notifications.

It's that simple to activate the LED notifications on your iPhone. As soon as you've done that, your iPhone will start flashing at a certain rate to alert you to incoming calls and more, something that's especially useful in noisy work environments or in the library, where even vibration can disturb you.
