Today's computers start up very quickly thanks to SSDs, our readers will claim to know that it is still possible to go one step further and make our PC turn on as soon as you press a mouse or keyboard key or when turning on the power strip to which we have it connected.

To make our computer turn on as soon as you press a mouse or keyboard key or when turning on the power strip we need to change a couple of options in the BIOS, each motherboard has its own BIOS and is different from the others but these options are usually very similar in all. Generally the options we need to modify are in the advanced settings section.

The first option is to make the computer start as soon as electric power arrives, this will make that if we suffer a power outage due to a power cut, the system will start again as soon as the power reaches it again. We must know that this does not happen when we turn it off from the operating system, something obvious since otherwise we would enter an infinite cycle of off and on.

To activate this option, we must look in the BIOS of the motherboard for an option with a name similar to " Restore on AC / Power Loss", it will generally be within the chipset configuration options. We just have to activate this option, save the changes and restart the computer.

The next option is to make the computer start as soon as it detects a keyboard or mouse click, for years this has already been possible in devices that work with the USB interface, in the past it was only possible in those based on PS / 2. For this, the first thing will be to find an option similar to "USB Wake from S3" and activate it.

Then we have to activate options such as "USB Keyboard / Remote Power On" and "USB Mouse Power On" or something similar, normally they are within the AICP configuration. Once these options are enabled, we save the changes and restart the system.
