Currently there are many restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, educational centers and other spaces that offer us free WiFi connectivity and therefore, when we visit them for the first time we take the opportunity to connect. However, these networks are sometimes saturated, our iPhone connects automatically as soon as they are detected, and then we suffer from slowness in connected applications. Whether for this reason, or because you simply want to clean and eliminate networks that you connected to on your last trips, we will show you how to do it in a very, very simple way.

iPhone and iPad: how to make them forget about certain WiFi networks

This time, in addition to making our iOS device forget about those WiFi networks that no longer interest us manually, we will also see how to customize the network settings of your iPhone or iPad to see how it handles the connection to wireless networks.

  • First of all, open the Settings application on your iPhone or iPad and then select the Wi-Fi section, where the network you are connected to at that moment appears. Tap the information icon that you see to the right of the name of the network you are connected to Tap Skip this network at the top of the screen

If you want to delete other networks to which you have previously been connected, you can do it from your Mac by using iCloud Keychain. However, at the moment, there is no way to do this directly from your iOS device, you can just bypass the WiFi network you are currently connected to.

Also, as you can see in the screenshots above, if you want your iPhone or iPad to remember a WiFi network but not connect to it automatically, you just have to disable the switch next to "Automatic connection"
