How to use an iPhone with the damaged home button

Anonim

If the Home button on your iPhone is broken, this does not mean that the phone is unusable until it is repaired or replaced. The key is found in the AssistiveTouch feature of iOS, which places a small digital button on the main screen of the phone.

When you press this button, a menu will appear that allows you to perform actions that are normally performed with gestures or buttons.

Step 2. Click on Accessibility.

Step 3. Once inside the Accessibility menu, you can open the " AssistiveTouch " functions.

Step 4. There you will have some options. To start, you can click on AssistiveTouch to enable it.

Step 5. You can also customize it from this menu. Click on any icon to change its function.

Step 6. A new screen will open providing you with multiple alternatives.

Step 7. You also have the possibility of adding two additional buttons to have a total of 8. To do this you must press the "+" symbol. On the other hand, the symbol "-" will allow you to reduce the number of buttons.

Step 8. Additionally, you can assign a certain action to the AssistiveTouch button for when you apply pressure using the 3D Touch function. Therefore, in total you have the possibility of having at least 9 functions if you add more icons to the tool menu.

Step 9. After you have enabled and configured AssistiveTouch, a small button will appear on the device screen. You can drag it to the desired place, and when you need to do a certain action, you must click on it and the AssistiveTouch menu will appear on the Home screen, as in the following screenshot:

The AssistiveTouch menu expands the functionality of your iPhone or iPad and is really useful if you have the default Home button.
