Caseking launches skylake

Caseking, in association with the Der8auer overclocking team , has introduced a new product for users to get the most out of their processors by practicing overclocking. This is the Skylake-X Direct Die.

Skylake-X Direct Die replaces Intel's TIM system

This new overclocking 'tool' is called Skylake-X Direct-Die, which aims to replace Intel's Integrated Charging Mechanism (ILM), which connects to the CPU cooler mounting holes, and allows Users use direct cooling mechanisms to the array (sans heatspreader). The idea is that users can “get rid of intermediaries” and improve heat dissipation without Intel's 'terrible' TIM, achieving much greater heat transfer from the CPU to the heatsink we are using. With this we can cool the processor a few additional degrees, which gives us more room for overclocking.

The Skylake-X Direct-Die cooling frame offers a secure mounting environment, is compatible with current Socket 2066 motherboards, and is made of high-quality black anodized aluminum. Caseking explains that these Skylake-X Direct Die are manufactured using "perfect German engineering", adding that "the SK-X DDF is manufactured to extremely tight tolerances to ensure an even distribution of downforce. This helps maintain optimal contact between the motherboard and the CPU… ''

For only 69.99 euros

Skylake-X Direct-Die is available from the Caseking site for around € 69.99. A somewhat expensive price but that will not be a problem for lovers of extreme overclocking.
