It seems that Intel is taking over all the geniuses of AMD in the graphics area, first it was Raja Koduri, then Jim Keller, and now he is joined by Chris Hook, who will be on the same Koduri team, creating the next dedicated GPUs of the Californian company.

Chris Hook to Lead Intel's Graphics and Visual Technologies Marketing Leader

In what can only be described as the dream team reuniting, Chris Hook (former Senior Director of AMD, Global Product Marketing) has announced that he will join Raja Koduri and Jim Keller and lead the marketing of dedicated visual and graphic technologies. Chris announced that he was leaving AMD a few weeks ago and Intel seemed the most likely choice as his new home.

Hook worked at AMD for over 17 years and was one of the most experienced public relations and marketing personnel on his payroll. With highly successful events like the launch in Hawaii and the iconic 'guerilla' marketing tactics of the Radeon cards, developed almost without help from his team. All that experience will now be on the side of Intel, one of AMD's death rivals.

We've already heard of the Intel Arctic Sound and Jupiter Sound GPUs and this seems to be just the tip of the iceberg. With Radeon's vast marketing experience under its belt, Intel is taking it seriously to create dedicated GPUs that can compete against AMD and NVIDIA in this field, but especially with the former.

We could say that Raja Koduri has the team of dreams back: Jim Keller, the legendary architect and Chris Hook, the legendary salesman. Something good has to come out of there.
