Colorful, a professional manufacturer of high-performance graphics cards, motherboards, and storage solutions, has announced the addition of two new models to its CN600S series of SSD drives to expand the offering offered to users.

New 240GB and 480GB Colorful CN600S SSDs with Intel 64-Layer TLC NAND Memory, all the details

The Colorful CN600S SSDs will now also be available in 240GB and 480GB capacities, both made with 64-layer NAND TLC memory from Intel. These new SSDs are ideal for users looking for a cost-effective, high-performance, high-capacity storage solution for low-profile applications, including laptops and other devices that support the M.2 format.

We recommend reading our post on the best SSDs of the moment SATA, M.2 NVMe and PCIe (2018)

Colorful CN600S includes the SMI 2263XT controller inside, features an M.2 2280 design standard, and achieves transfer speeds of up to 2000MB / s in read and 1500MB / s in sequential write. To do this, it uses the PCIe Gen3 x4 interface, compatible with the NVMe protocol and that can offer 4 times more performance than the SATA III interface. This means that applications such as games or editing programs load faster and data can be easily accessed without wasting time working or playing faster. They include an aluminum heat sink.

Using 64-layer NAND TLC memory enables huge storage density to be achieved, while reducing manufacturing cost and ensuring high operating speed. Therefore, these new Colorful CN600S should go on sale at very competitive prices compared to the solutions of their main rivals in the market, despite this, prices have not yet been announced.
