Delete print queue in Windows 10 from settings

Well what we will have to do is access the print queue of our printer. For this we are going to follow the following steps.

We go to the start menu and click on the cogwheel to access the Windows 10 Configuration panel. Now we go to the icon whose name is " Devices " which is where the configuration of all of them is stored.

Once inside, we go to the " printers and scanners " section to open the list of devices connected to our equipment. We click on the printer in question to access its options. Click on " Open queue "

Once we open this window, all the documents in the print queue will be shown here

Well, all we have to do is right click on the document and choose " Cancel " to remove it from the queue

If we have many documents, we can also click on the " Printer " button and choose " cancel all documents"

Don't worry if it doesn't get erased instantly. The process will take a few seconds.

Delete print queue in Windows 10 directly

If during the printing process we have looked at the taskbar of the desktop, we will have noticed that there is an icon that represents the printer, or rather the print queue.

Well, what we are going to do is double-click on it so that the print queue of the device automatically opens and we can do the same as before.

Delete print queue from a shared network printer

If what we have is a shared printer on the network and the only thing we can do is access it through the computers on a LAN, we will also have this possibility available.

With Windows 10

So in order to delete the print queue in Windows 10 from a shared printer we will do the following procedure.

On the computer with which we can access the network printer, we will go back to the configuration panel, then to " Devices " and finally to the " printers and scanners " section.

As before, we click on the printer icon, which will effectively be available here as if it belonged to our team. And we will do the same procedure as in section 1.

We will click on " Open queue " and we will delete the files that are in it.

With any version of Windows

If we do not have Windows 10 we will not have this option available from the configuration panel. Then we will follow the traditional method that will be from the Control panel:

We open the start menu and locate the icon of the Control Panel to click on it and open it. Now we go to the " Hardware and sound " section and click on the link " See devices and printers "

In the list of devices we identify our shared network printer and double-click on it In the same way as before, the print queue will be opened to manage it
