Index of contents

The most normal thing is to work with the horizontal screen, but there are times when we miss having a vertical screen and we don't know how to rotate our desktop. In addition, we can not always do it the same way, depending on which graphics card we have, we will have one or other drivers. And these do not always behave the same way, so we will touch all the possibilities that we can to see how to rotate the screen on our pc

Rotate display Intel drivers (most common)

Typically, not to mention every time, Intel graphics card drivers come standard with two hotkey combinations to rotate the displays connected to your graphics devices.

The first way we can test if we are not sure what graphics card we have installed on our computer is this. We will have two different options to try to rotate our screen:

  • Using the key combination "Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keys ": we combine the keys with the dates of our roof we can rotate the screen in the four main directions: 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees. In this way we can put it in four different positions Using the key combination "Alt Gr + Ctrl + Address Dates": if the other method has not worked for us, it is possible that instead of touching "Alt" we should touch "Alt Gr" (to the right of the keyboard space). The functions will be the same as before.

Rotate Windows 10 screen with Nvidia drivers

If the above method has not worked for us, we may have an Nvidia card on our computer. Nvidia graphics cards typically do not have this key combination to quickly rotate the screen.

In this case, we must go to the Nvidia screen control. To do this, right-click on the desktop and choose the "Nvidia Control Panel" option .

On the screen that appears, we go to the "Rotate screen" section in the "Screen" menu . From here we can select in which angle we want to rotate the screen. Once the position is selected, click on "Apply" and the screen will rotate.

Rotate Windows 10 screen with AMD drivers

We now turn to AMD graphics card users. In this case we are facing a similar situation to the previous one. The first thing we will have to do is right click on the Desktop and select "Catalyst control center" which will be the control panel of our graphics card.

Next, we go to the "Preferences" tab and select the "Hot keys" or "Hot keys" option.

We will find a section that puts "Screen manager" in a drop-down menu. Here we can establish a key combination to rotate the swamp for any direction. We can configure, for example, the combinations seen in the Intel method, since they are not shortcuts applied to any Windows function.

For this to work we must check the box to enable hotkeys.

Rotate Windows 10 screen with Windows 10 options

If we do not want to complicate our lives or the rest we have not tried due to laziness, we will still have another option available and this one will work 100%. This is directly from the Windows 10 customization panel.

What we are going to do again is right click on the desktop and we are going to select "Screen settings"

In the window that appears, we look for the "Screen" section and a lower section that says "orientation ". By displaying the options on the tab, we can select the orientation we want. Automatically the orientation of the screen will change to the one we have chosen.

Through all these options you will surely find one that works for you. What do you use the rotated screen for? Have you ever tried working on your PC with the vertical screen? Leave us in the comments if the methods have worked for you.
