We continue with our interesting comparisons of smartphones with the BQ Aquaris E5 4G, this time we will see the faces with the veteran Samsung Galaxy S3, which was the flagship of the South Korean company at the time. These are two terminals with very good specifications and characteristics and that are capable of offering very interesting features today without being any of them high-end currently.

Technical characteristics:

Screens: The difference in screen is small on both smartphones. Processors: the heart of the two terminals is very different from each other but both offer great performance more than enough for day to day. The BQ mounts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 consisting of four 64-bit Cortex A53 cores at a frequency of 1.2 GHz and the Adreno 306 GPU. For its part, the Samsung Galaxy S3 mounts a more powerful Samsung Exynos 4412 consisting of four Cortex A9 cores at a frequency of 1.4 GHz and the Mali-400MP4 GPU. Both have 1 GB of RAM to move freely your operating system. As for the operating system, there is an important difference in favor of BQ and that is that its terminal has Android 4.4 KitKat and will be updated to Lollipop while the Galaxy S3 complies with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Designs: Both terminals are built with a good quality plastic chassis and also allow the battery to be removed for replacement. The Samsung Galaxy S3 presents smaller dimensions with measurements of 136.6 mm high x 70.6 mm wide x 8.6 mm thick compared to slightly wider 143.15 mm high x 72.15 mm width x 8.7 mm thickness of the BQ terminal.

Connectivity: the two models have basic connections such as 3G, WiFi, Micro USB or Bluetooth, in addition to offering LTE / 4G support. The Galaxy S3 is one notch above offering NFC.

Internal memories: The Samsung Galaxy S3 is marketed with 16, 32 and 64 GB variants of internal storage expandable by microSD up to an additional 64 GB. For its part, the BQ Aquaris E5 4G is marketed in versions of 8 and 16 GB that can be expanded by up to an additional 64 GB.

Batteries: In this aspect the BQ Aquaris E5 4G is well above the Samsung option with a capacity of 2850 mAh compared to a more modest 2100 mAh in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Availability and price:

The Samsung Galaxy S3 can be found for sale for an approximate price of 267 euros in its 16 GB version of internal storage while the BQ Aquaris E5 4G in its 16 GB version is marketed for a cheaper price of 219 euros.
