Comparison: doogee turbo dg2014 vs samsung galaxy s3
Table of contents:
From this moment on, a new series of comparisons arrives on our website that will have a very special Chinese terminal as its special protagonist: the Doogee Turbo DG 2014. If the DG 300 already seemed to us to be a phone with incredible features (especially in relation to its price) DG 2014 does not intend to be less, covering almost all the "weaknesses" that Voyager had. In front of it and as the first rival we have the Samsung Galaxy S3, a Smartphone well-known to the general public. Let's find out then and from now on if the difference between the costs of these two devices is justified with respect to their quality. Immediately we will leave doubts:
Technical characteristics:
Design: The Galaxy S3 measures 136.6 mm high × 70.6 mm wide × 8.6 mm thick and weighs 133 grams. Its casing is made of plastic polycarbonate and with a shiny finish. We can find it available in navy blue and white. The Turbo on the other hand has a size of 142.9 mm high x 71.36 mm wide x 6.3 mm thick, so it turns out to be quite thinner than the Galaxy. Its casing has a resistant plastic finish, being available in white, yellow, black and blue.
Camera: The S3's main camera features 8 megapixels and BSI technology (which improves snapshots in low light conditions), plus an LED flash. Its front camera has 1.3 megapixels, useful in any case for video conferencing or photography. The DG 2014 presents a rear lens of better quality, reaching 13 megapixels and accompanied by an LED flash, in addition to having another 5-megapixel front camera. Both terminals make video recordings in 720p quality at 30 fps.
Screen: they have a similar size, although in the case of the Turbo it is slightly higher thanks to its 5 inches, compared to the 4.8 inches that the Galaxy presents. They do share the same 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Both terminals also have IPS technology, which gives them very vivid colors and a great viewing angle. In the case of the S3 we also have in mind the super AMOLED technology , which allows it to have more brightness, reflect less sunlight and consume less energy; and in the case of Doogee, OGS technology appears, which contributes to energy saving. The Samsung also has Gorilla Glass 2 accident protection .
Processor: the Galaxy S3 for its part has an Exynos 4 Quad 4-core Soc that works at 1.4 GHz and a Mali 400 MP GPU, while the DG 2014 presents a MTK6582 Quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU and a Mali GPU - 400 MP. Both smartphones contain a 1 GB RAM memory. As for the operating system, both devices share Android, in version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the case of S3 and Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean if we refer to the Chinese terminal.
Internal Memory: while the DG 2014 has a single model for sale of 8 GB, the Galaxy S3 has two different ones: one of 16 GB and the other of 32 GB. Its internal memories can be expanded thanks to micro SD cards of up to 32 GB in the case of the Turbo and 64 GB if we refer to the Galaxy.
Batteries: in this aspect the Chinese Smartphone has to lose with its 1750 mAh capacity battery compared to the 2100 mAh that accompany the Galaxy S3. Having a similar performance, the autonomy of the Galaxy is surely superior.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Reasons not to buy the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 +Connectivity: although both terminals have WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, FM radio, etc., 4G / LTE technology is present in the case of the Galaxy S3 (depending on the market).
Availability and price:
The S3 can be found for sale for 269 euros and in white or blue on the pccomponentes website. As for the 2014 Doogee turbo DG, we can say that it is also for sale in black and white pc components for 129 euros.
