GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is the latest graphics card launched by Nvidia and, as always, it is time to make a comparison of what this new proposal offers us compared to its rivals within the brand itself. This new card has been launched to bring the performance of the GeForce GTX 1080 closer to users who cannot afford to access this solution. GeForce GTX 1070 vs GTX 1070 Ti vs GTX 1080

Specifications GeForce GTX 1070 vs GTX 1070 Ti vs GTX 1080

First of all we have to review the technical specifications of the three cards. All of them are based on the Pascal GP104 core manufactured in 16nm FinFET by TSMC, the core intended for the mid-range of the latest Nvidia graphics architecture. Despite this, the specifications are not the same since the core has been cut to be able to offer three different cards in performance and price. The biggest difference between the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and the GeForce GTX 1080 is in the memory and its bandwidth as we are going to check.

The following table summarizes the specifications of the three GeForce GTX 1070 vs GTX 1070 Ti vs GTX 1080 cards:

Data analysis and conclusion

The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti arrives with the intention of filling the gap between the GTX 1070 and the GTX 1080, something that, as we can see, has achieved perfectly. The difference between the two cards is not very great but Nvidia has estimated that it is enough to make a new launch that, by the way, complicates life for the AMD Radeon RX Vega.

GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is located right between its sisters, depending on the game it will be closer to one or the other since, as we can see from its specifications, the biggest difference is in memory. This new card shares bandwidth and VRAM pool with the GeForce GTX 1070 while the core is almost the same as the GeForce GTX 1080 so it will be closer to one or the other depending on whether the performance limitation is memory or core.

GeForce GTX 1070 Ti starts from 500 euros, a price too similar to the 560 euros of the GeForce GTX 1080 so the decision becomes complicated, our recommendation is that if you can stretch those 60 euros, in the end if you can spend 500 it shouldn't be a big problem to stretch 60 euros more. If you want to stick to the price of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti it is a very good option.
