Today's comparison is between the Huawei Ascend P6 and the LG Nexus 5. Both are fairly new models in the market and we can place them in the mid-range of mobile phones. With a similar price, the Huawei Ascend P6 € 309 and the Nexus 5, € 350, have an excellent quality price.

The first difference between both Smartphones we have in their operating system. And is that the Nexus 5 has the latest version of Android, the Android 4.4 Kit Kat. The Huawei Ascend P6 has the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, also quite new, and it does not have much to envy the Nexus 5.

The Huawei Ascend P6 has dimensions of 132 × 65.5 × 6.18 millimeters with a 4.7-inch screen. The LG Nexus 5 (Google Smartphone) has a size of 137.84x69x17x8.59 mm with a 4.95-inch screen. The thickness of the Huawei Ascend P6 is striking, with just over 6 millimeters. And it is that this is the thinnest Smartphone that we can find right now in the market.

As we have already discussed, the Nexus 5 screen is 4.95 inches. It has a Full HD IPS resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, 445 pixels per inch. The one of the Huawei Ascend P6, somewhat smaller, 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, 312 pixels per inch. So we see a noticeable difference in pixels per inch from both Smartphones.

Both the Huawei Ascend P6 and the Nexus 5 have an 8-megapixel rear camera, although slightly better than the Nexus that has a Sony stabilizer that gives a plus to your shots. Where we do find a difference is in the front camera. This is where the Huawei Ascend P6 scores a goal in the whole squad with a 5 megapixel camera, currently there are few smartphones that offer these features on the market. Next door, the Nexus 5 falls quite short with its 1.3 megapixels.

On the issue of battery, the Nexus 5 is somewhat ahead of the Huawei Ascend P6 with 2300 mAh of capacity compared to 2000 mAh of the Chinese Smartphone. Although like everything, you have to know how to optimize.

In this comparison we have seen that the Huawei is a rival to take into account, since its characteristics are quite complete and its price is € 50 cheaper. I personally tip the scales to the Nexus 5 for its support and updates for the next 21 months.
