Comparison: LG Nexus 5 vs iPhone 5
Today's comparison is between the iPhone 5, one of the latest smartphones released by Apple and the Nexus 5, the latest Google launch. The first of them we can place in the high-end of the mobile phone market and Google's Smartphone in the mid-range.
The first notable difference between the two is the operating system. While the Nexus 5 has the latest Android, Android 4.4 Kit Kat, the iPhone 5 has Apple's iOS 6 operating system.
The Nexus 5 has a 4.95-inch screen with a Full HD IPS resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, which is equivalent to 445 pixels per inch. In addition, the screen of this Smartphone is reinforced with Corning Gorilla 3 Glass. The iPhone 5 has a smaller screen, 4 inches with a resolution of 640 × 1136 pixels, or what is the same, 326 pixels per inch. As you can see, in terms of screen resolution, the positive point is taken by the Apple Smartphone.
Now let's go for the camera. The iPhone 5 has an 8 megapixel camera, a resolution that is not bad but that given the category of this Smartphone could be something better. It has 3D technology, auto-focus, face detector and Flash Led. The Nexus 5's rear camera also has, like the iPhone 5, 8 megapixels of resolution with optical image stabilization.
The Google Smartphone has two models on the market, one of 16 GB and the other of 32 GB. The RAM in any case is 2 GB. The iPhone 5 has a little more variety with versions of 16, 32 and 64 GB. The RAM is less than that of the Nexus 5, 1 GB.
The Nexus 5 you have in the Spanish market for approximately € 350, an excellent value for money given all the benefits and technical characteristics of the Smartphone, some of which we have mentioned. The iPhone 5 has a much higher price in the market, of approximately € 550.
