Comparison: nokia lumia 1020 vs lg nexus 5

This time it is up to the great Nexus 5 of Google to measure its forces against the Nokia Lumia 1020. Screens: that of the Lumia 1020 is characterized by being super-sensitive and having a size of 4.5 inches AMOLED with ClearBlack, making it brighter, perfectly readable in sunlight and consumes less energy. The Nexus 5 for its part presents a larger screen, 4.95 inches Full HD. Both terminals also differ in their resolutions, since the Lumia 1020 has a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, which gives it a density of 334 pixels per inch, while in the case of the Nexus we have 1920 x 1080 pixels (445 dpi). The two terminals also have the same protection system: the glass manufactured by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 company.

Processors: the Nokia for its part presents a Qualcomm Snapdragon ^TM S4 dual-core CPU at 1.5 GHz, differing in power from the Nexus 5, which is accompanied by an excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon ™ 800 quad-core SoC , which works at 2, 26 GHz. Its graphics chips are of the same type but different model: Adreno 225 in the case of the Nokia and Adreno 330 if we talk about the Nexus 5, which will allow us to be up to date in terms of games and applications that will work in a way fast and fluid. Both phones have a 2 GB RAM memory. Its operating systems are Windows Phone 8 if we refer to the Lumia 1020 and Android 4.4 KitKat if we talk about the Nexus 5.

Cameras: its sensors have a huge difference, since the Finnish model has 41 megapixels in its main objective, while the Nexus 5 stays at 8 megapixels. They share some other functions, such as autofocus, and although both smartphones are equipped with a flash, the Lumia also presents the LED as the Nexus 5, one of Xenon's. With its front cameras rather the opposite happens: the Nokia has 1.2 megapixels and the LG 2.1 megapixels, in both cases useful for conducting video conferences or the occasional snapshot. As for video recordings, the two terminals can make recordings with their main objective at 1080p and 30 fps, which in the case of the Nokia, you can enlarge the image up to six times without losing any quality. In addition, its Nokia Rich Recording application allows us to capture very clear and distortion-free audio.

Internal memories: the two terminals agree to have a model for sale 32 GB , although the Finnish model also has another 64 GB of ROM, while the other Nexus device remains at 16 GB. Both terminals lack the possibility of expansion via microSD, however in the case of the Nokia we can count on free 7 GB cloud storage .

Connectivity: in addition to the most basic connections that we are used to, such as 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, both devices offer LTE / 4G support , something that is common among high-end smartphones.

Batteries: Lumia and Nexus have 2000 and 2300 mAh respectively, so they do not stand out especially. The greater capacity of the Nexus 5 will face its greater performance and therefore energy expenditure, so we can think that its autonomy will not be very different from that of the Nokia, although it will also depend on the handling we give to the terminals.

Prices: the Nexus 5 at the moment we can find it on its official website for 349 euros (16 GB model) and for 399 euros (32 GB model). We are therefore talking about a smartphone that has excellent features but at a cost that is not within the reach of the public. The nokia Lumia 1020 is even more expensive: it is a high-end device with very good features, especially if we talk about its camera, which makes its cost skyrocket, making it less accessible to most people.
