The following video shared by the YouTube channel NJ Tech, compares both graphics cards with current games such as Metro Exodus, Rage 2, Anthem or Total War Three Kingdoms. In total there are 25 games tested in 1080p and 1440p resolutions, which is where graphics cards perform best.

In most tests the AMD option wins or there is a tie, except in cases such as Assassins Creed Odyssey, Darksiders 3, Fornite, Overwatch or PUBG, where the GTX 1080 could take an advantage. Of course, in terms of power consumption, the GTX 1080 proves to be less demanding at full load, with a consumption of 325 W, compared to the 416 W of the RX Vega 64.

It seems that the RX Vega 64 has a much better evolution than the GTX 1080 and a much more affordable price in Spanish territory. Vega 64 can be obtained for between 365 and 400 euros approximately (at the time of writing these lines), while the GTX 1080 is obtained for about 460 euros upwards.

AMD will soon have new options with its Navi RX 5700 and 5700 XT graphics cards, which will go to the home of the RTX 2060 and 2070.
