Comparison: sony xperia m2 vs oneplus one
Table of contents:
We continue with our comparisons of smartphones with the Sony Xperia M2 as the main protagonist, this time we are going to compare it with the OnePlus One, a well-known Chinese terminal and that has had tremendous success in the market due to its excellent features, a very low price content for what it offers and that has only had the inconvenience that its purchase has been very limited with the invitation system created by the company and that has made its availability very low at times.
Screens: The difference in the screen of both terminals is very important, not so much in size but in the quality of the panels used, much higher in the case of Xiaomi. The Sony Xperia M2 mounts a 4.8-inch TFT panel with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, resulting in a density of 229 ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Furthermore, the OnePlus One mounts an IPS LCD panel 5.5-inch with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, resulting in a density of 401 ppi and protected by the same Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Processors: the heart of both terminals is very different from each other but both offer great performance more than enough for day to day. The Sony Xperia M2 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 consisting of four Cortex A7 cores at a frequency of 1.4 GHz and the Adreno 305 GPU. For its part, the OnePlus One mounts a much more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 consisting of four Krait 400 cores at a frequency of 2.5 GHz and the Adreno 330 GPU. Both chips are manufactured at 28nm and the Krait 400 cores are more powerful than the Cortex A7 of the Snapdragon 400, however the lower screen resolution of the Sony terminal helps it achieve excellent performance for day to day although it is clearly inferior to the performance of the OnePlus terminal. The Sony Xperia M2 is satisfied with 1 GB of RAM while the OnePlus One has 3 GB. As for the operating system, both currently have Android 4.4.4 KitKat but the OnePlus One can be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Cameras: Regarding the optics of the terminals we find important differences in favor of the OnePlus One, both in the main and front cameras. In the case of the OnePlus smartphone we find a 13 megapixel sensor in the rear camera capable of recording video at 4K resolution and 30fps. For its part, the Xperia M2 is satisfied with an 8 megapixel sensor also capable of recording at 1080p and 30fps. As for the front camera, the difference is more pronounced with a 5 megapixel sensor in the OnePlus One capable of recording at 1080p and 30fps compared to the Xperia M2, which mounts a VGA sensor capable of recording at 480p and 30fps.
Designs: Both terminals are made with a unibody body that does not allow the battery to be removed to replace it, in both cases it is built with a good quality plastic chassis. Regarding the dimensions, the Xperia M2 has a size of 139.7 mm high x 71.1 mm wide x 8.6 mm thick compared to 152.9mm height x 75.9mm width x 8.9mm thickness of the OnePlus One.
Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, both have 4G LTE, NFC, 3G, A-GPS, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Internal memories: Regarding its internal storage capacity, in the case of the Xperia M2 we will have 8 GB expandable up to an additional 32 GB, while in the OnePlus One we have 16 GB and 32 GB non-expandable versions.
Batteries: the OnePlus One has a much higher capacity than the Xperia M2, with 3100 mAh and 2300 mAh respectively, so presumably the OnePlus terminal will have a greater autonomy.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Filtering the prices of the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro in EuropeAvailability and price:
The OnePlus One in its 16 GB version is sold for approximately 260 euros in the main Chinese stores while the Sony Xperia M2 can be found for approximately 190 euros in Spanish stores.
