Comparison: xiaomi red rice vs lg nexus 4

The Xiaomi continues to hold the type before all these devices of good quality / price ratio thanks to their excellent features. From now on we will check if it is up to the flagships of the South Korean brand, which have been so well received by the public, selling all terminals in a matter of minutes after their launch. Both screens have the same size: 4.7 inches HD, but with different resolutions: 1280 x 720 pixels for the Xiaomi and 1280 × 768 pixels for the Nexus, which give them 312 and 320 pixels per inch respectively. The two smartphones also have a wide viewing angle and good color definition thanks to their IPS technology, in addition to protecting their screens thanks to the glass manufactured by the Cornig company: Gorilla Glass 2.

They also differ in terms of their processor: the Xiaomi for its part has a Quadcore MediaTek MT6589 Turbo SoC with four cores that operate at 1.5GHz, which gives it a not inconsiderable power. Its GPU is a PowerVR SGX544MP type with great graphics performance that allows the use of 3D games and decode 1080p video. The Nexus 4 has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ™ Pro S4 CPU that also runs at 1.5 GHz, and its GPU is of the Adreno 320 type. Their RAM memories are not the same either: 1 GB for the Chinese model and 2 GB for the South Korean. The MIUI V5 operating system based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean can be found by supporting the Xiaomi Red Rice. The Nexus 4 for its part comes out ahead with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Camera: the rear of both devices have an 8 megapixel sensor, in the case of the Xiaomi made by Samsung, with a 28mm wide angle and an f / 2.2 aperture. On the part of the Nexus we can say that it is manufactured by Sony and has BSI technology that improves the quality of photographs in low light conditions. Both also have an LED flash. Both front cameras have 1.3 megapixels. The Xiaomi records video at 1080p and the Nexus 4 does the same at 720p and 30 fps.

Design: The Xiaomi Red Rice has dimensions of 125.3 mm high x 64.5 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick. We can find it available in three different colors: Chinese red, metallic gray and ivory white. Its back shell is interchangeable, in addition to being made from recycled materials that endows the terminal with a pressure resistance of up to 135 kg. The Nexus 4 measures 133.9 mm high × 68.7 mm wide × 9.1 mm thick and weighs 139 grams.

What stands out most among the connections of these terminals is that the LG Nexus 4 has, in addition to all the connections that we can imagine as obligatory, it also offers LTE / 4G support, something that the Chinese model cannot say, which does not go beyond 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth among others that we are already very used to.

Internal memory: here we could say that the Xiaomi starts with an advantage, because despite having a ROM of only 4 GB, it has a microSD card slot that can be extended to 32 GB. The Nexus for its part only has two different models with respect to its internal memory in the market: an 8 GB model and another 16 GB, in both cases, impossible to expand.

Its batteries have a similar capacity: 2000 mAh for the Chinese model and 2100 mAh for the South Korean model. We assume that these characteristics and taking into account their powers, their autonomies will not be very different.

Availability and price: the Xiaomi is cheaper. If you browse the web and come across the pccomponentes page, it can be yours for 199 euros. A more than reasonable price considering its characteristics. The Nexus 4 is currently around 240 euros. Despite being somewhat more expensive, its price is relatively affordable and according to its specifications.
