Apple recently announced that hundreds of new emojis will be included in the next iOS 11.1 update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

More emojis to make our conversations more fun and understandable

Apple has announced through a press release that with the next iOS 11.1 update, hundreds of new emoji characters will arrive that we can use in Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram and in any application where we can enter text.

In addition, the company has also shown some of those new emojis that are part of Unicode 10 such as a cake, a head that explodes, a scarf, a gesture of love, a brain, the fortune cookie, an empanada, a hedgehog and much more.

"Hundreds of new emoji, including more emotional faces, gender-neutral characters, clothing options, food types, animals, mythical creatures, and more, are coming to iPhone and iPad with iOS 11.1."

It is worth noting the quality of the emojis, in which even shadows can be seen. There are emoji characters of children, adults and older people, with a wide range of skin tones such as a person in a sauna, another person with a big beard, a wizard, a fairy, a vampire, an elf, a genius and Plus, all available in multiple skin tones and genres.

Specifically, it is about 56 new emoji characters that, if we take into account the different skin tones, gender and flags, rise to more than 200.

Unicode 10 was originally launched last June 2017, however, it usually takes several months for the company to include them, because before Apple designers must adapt them to the company's style. All Unicode 10 emoji can be found on Emojipedia.

The first beta of iOS 11.1 for iPhone and iPad was released to developers last week but these Unicode 10 emojis were not included. Apple points out that they will be added in the next developer beta and public beta this week. At the moment, we do not know the official release date of iOS 11.1, so we will still have to wait.
