Configure the 'hidden' functions of a mouse

1. Quickly select words

This first tip is one of the most popular. When writing a text or reading a document on your computer, it is common to select any word or phrase, it is to search the Internet for its meaning or delete content. Therefore, many users press the left mouse button and drag the cursor to select a word. However, there is a much faster way to do this: just double-click the right mouse button. Then there is also the option to click the left button and look at the available actions.

2. Select the entire paragraph

For those who want to select just a few words throughout the paragraph, the mouse also has this option. To do this, click three times in a row on a word in that paragraph, and they will be selected.

3. Use shift to select large chunks of text

Using the mouse to select a word or a paragraph can be much easier as well. And the best thing is that there is a very easy to select the most pieces in the text. To do this, select a paragraph with three clicks and then with shift pressed, click on the following paragraphs. This will make them underlined too.

4. Use Ctrl + Mouse Click

Another interesting shortcut is used to select multiple files at the same time or multiple pieces of text. To do this, simply press the Ctrl key and left-click.

5. Duplicate files with option (alt)

This trick only works on Mac computers. It allows you to duplicate files quickly, without having to do anything but a click. You simply click on the document you want to duplicate and hold down the option button (alt) while clicking. This will automatically duplicate the file when the mouse is released.

6. Open pages on other links

If you click a link while holding the Ctrl key, that page will open in another link. Also, a lot of people don't know, but the scroll (a wheel some mice have) also serves as a button. By pushing the ball over a link, it will open in a new tab in your browser.
