Galaxy s7 confirmed to be waterproof
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be officially announced next Sunday in Barcelona during the WMC. After being rumored that both are resistant to water, we receive the confirmation of the South Korean firm.
So the Galaxy S7 and Edge are waterproof, unlike their predecessors that were not. Another great novelty will be the incorporation of a microSD memory card slot, something that the owners of its predecessors could not enjoy either. For now, the level of water resistance of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge has not been revealed, so we will have to wait for their presentation to have more details.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will arrive with a 5.2 / 5.5-inch Super-AMOLED screen at a resolution of 1440 x 2650 pixels and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Two versions of the same terminal will be sold differentiated by their processor, on the one hand the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core Kryo and the GPU Adreno 530 and on the other we will have a version with Exynos 8890 processor with four Mongoose cores, four Cortex-A53 cores and the Mali-T880 MP12 GPU. In both cases we find 4 GB of RAM and an internal UFS 2.0 storage of 16, 32, 64GB that will be expandable. All this at the service of Android Marshmallow.
