Cooler Master launches a new addition to its MasterBox family of chassis: the Q500L. The Q500L can house a full-size ATX motherboard. This is an interesting advance over previous Q series models, where only micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboards could fit.

Cooler Master announces the chassis of the MasterBox Q500L

As we can see, the MasterBox Q500L has its full view side window, where we can see all the configuration of our equipment, ideal if we have RGB lighting.

The box measures 386 x 230 x 381mm and even supports full-size ATX power supplies. At the top there is room for a radiator up to 240mm if users opt for liquid cooling. The headroom for a 160mm CPU cooler is also generous, as is the length of the power supply up to 180mm.

Since the power supply is front mounted, a longer power supply may prohibit the use of good-sized graphics cards. In fact, users are limited to 270mm long graphics cards when the power supply is higher than 160mm. However, if the power supply is compact enough, the graphics card can be up to 360mm in length.

The new Cooler Master box offers a large extension space

Cooler Master also leaves plenty of room for cable management behind the tray. 27 to 30mm to be exact. Considering this is where the 3.5 ″ pair of drives can be mounted, there is definitely room. Users can also choose to install up to four 2.5 ″ drives on the same bracket.

The MasterBox Q500L is available now for around € 49.99.
