Corsair acquires specialized PC manufacturer 'origin pc'

Corsair has announced that it has acquired the services of the American company Origin PC Builder, a move that will significantly expand the company's influence in the computer market, which is Corsair's next step.

Corsair wants to focus on the PC gaming and streaming market

Origin PC is a well-known manufacturer that offers a wide range of configurable high-performance PCs, ranging from gaming PCs and powerful workstations to laptops for regular gamers.

This comes just over a year after Corsair's acquisition of Elgato Gaming, a move that led Corsair to delve deeper into the world of streaming and 'gaming' in general. With the acquisition of Origin PC they seem to double this bet.

By purchasing Origin PC, Corsair has been able to offer PC gamers a greater variety of custom PCs. The decision has also allowed the company to align with PC Origin to enhance its future products along with its iCUE software ecosystem. Another advantage is that Corsair can supply more parts to Origin PC to support other aspects of its business. Corsair has already confirmed that Origin PC will soon begin using Corsair Hydro X series liquid cooling components on select pre-assembled equipment.

Either way, Origin PC will remain an independent brand within Corsair and will continue to be managed from its Miami Florida office. The acquisition will not affect existing equipment warranties and support services, so this should not create any setback for users.
