CES 2019 is off to a strong start, and now it's Corsair's turn. The company leaves us with its new project, Capellix LED. It is a technology that helps improve the brightness of RGB LEDs. This is the way in which this novelty that the company has left us at the event in Las Vegas can best be defined. The company has revealed all the details about it at the event.

What you do is increase the number of diodes in a space, because they are smaller. A current LED measures 2.8 cubic mm, miners than Corsair's measure 0.2 cubic mm.

In this way, the technology of the company allows to gain homogeneity in the lighting and the brightness is therefore increased. As revealed by the company at the event, this RGB LED lighting can be up to 60% brighter. They have also managed to increase efficiency by 60%, while energy consumption has been reduced by 40%. Another key factor is that the diode life is increased by 35%.

Thanks to the reduced size of the diode, new lighting areas can be added in areas of the PCB where until now it was impossible. Gaming peripherals are also expected to benefit from this Corsair technology.

At the moment nothing has been announced about how Capellix LED will be incorporated into products on the market. Corsair has not said specific dates. Although they have said that they will add to their chassis, RAM, various types of peripherals and liquid cooling among others. There is no data on its impact on price.
