Creative Sound BlasterX G1: technical characteristics
Unboxing and product description
The Creative Sound BlasterX G1 comes to us in a small cardboard box in which the color black clearly predominates. On the front we see an image of the device along with some of its main features and compatibility with PC, Mac and PS4 console. The specifications are detailed on the back and sides and we also see the quality certificates that the product has passed.
We open the box and find a piece of cardboard that is responsible for accommodating the external sound card to prevent it from moving during transport as well as the damage that may arise from it. We also found a worldwide warranty book and a quick start guide available in many languages including Spanish for our peace of mind. Being a very economical product it does not come loaded with extras although we find everything you need to be able to enjoy the sound card from the first minute and the packaging is very correct.
We already focus our view on the Creative Sound BlasterX G1 and we find ourselves with dimensions of 137.6 mm x 23 mm x 10.4 mm, so we are facing a very compact product in which the length stands out above all by including a small cable that will allow us to use it in a much more comfortable way if we have little space for its connection. At the top we find the logo of the brand with red lighting for a much more elegant appearance when it is working in our team.
The Creative Sound BlasterX G1 presents a very clean and minimalist design in which only the mentioned cable stands out, the logo with the lighting system and a small 3.5 mm jack connector that will serve to connect our headphones to enjoy virtual 7.1 sound who is able to provide the card. The Creative Sound BlasterX G1 offers a combined 4-pole headphone output with a microphone jack making it suitable for headsets or headphones commonly found with built-in microphones.
The inexpensive Creative Sound BlasterX G1 sound card makes an ideal match with the Sound BlasterX H5 headphones. The latter connect to the G1 sound card on a hardware level to activate the X-Plus Mode technology and give us a great advantage over our opponents in a large number of compatible games. This technology accentuates the audio for the really important questions in a competitive game and minimizes it for those that are not, all with the aim that we can better hear our enemies and take victory.
BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro software
In order to get the most out of the Creative Sound BlasterX G1 we have the BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro software with a very intuitive design and advanced tools to make a difference compared to its rivals in the market. In the profiles section we can choose from a wide variety of presets to be able to adapt the benefits of the sound card to our needs according to the type of video game we are going to play.
Creative has thought about the most video game fans so it offers us different settings for first person shooting games, adventure and action games, driving simulators and even profiles specific to games like Call of Duty, Dota 2 and CS: GO. If you don't have enough with the 17 profiles offered, you can also create your own to better suit your tastes.
We go to the section dedicated to the acoustic engine in which we can make different adjustments to the sound engine of the card and customize them for the different profiles. In this section we have access to the preview of three types of sound to have immediate feedback after adjusting a parameter. We also find a useful equalizer with numerous presets for different types of music and it is that despite being a product intended mainly for video games, nothing will prevent us from taking advantage of all kinds of multimedia activities such as listening to music or watching movies with a better quality of sound.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Sound Blaster FRee ReviewWe now come to the section of Scout Mode where we can activate and deactivate this option that will help us to better hear our enemies in the middle of the battlefield to take advantage of the game and rise to victory. We can also configure a quick access to activate / deactivate this option very comfortably.
In the Voice FX section we can apply different voice filters to achieve very fun results, something that will be very pleasant for the most enthusiastic but that will not matter to most users.
Finally we find the advanced options in which we can configure the Creative SoundBlasterX G1 in different profiles such as 7.1 or 5.1 headphones and many more to be able to get the most out of it according to the situation of use.
Final words and conclusion about Creative SoundBlasterX G1
The Creative SoundBlasterX G1 sound card pleasantly surprises, this small device includes many more customization options than many of the sound systems included in low-end motherboards, in addition to providing us with virtual 7.1 positional sound to be able to better enjoy our favorite games.
The sound quality offered by this sound card is very remarkable and together with its wide possibilities it surprises for its low price, the Creative SoundBlasterX G1 will allow us to enjoy great audio quality in any device, we especially highlight the low-end devices that they usually include all very low quality sound systems. It will also serve as an auxiliary sound card in case of failure of the equipment itself, thanks to its USB interface it will be very easy and fast to use. The card includes plug & play functionality so we can use it even without installing the drivers, of course it will be a very basic but functional use.
We recommend reading the best sound card on the market.
The Creative SoundBlasterX G1 sound card is found for a price of approximately 50 euros in major online stores.
