More than a week ago we discussed the launch of the Beta Crimson ReLive 17.2.1 drivers, which brought compatibility with the Sniper Elite 4 and For Honor video games. Now we can get hold of the WHQL certified final drivers, ready to download and install it on our AMD graphics card equipment.

Final version of Crimson Relive 17.2.1 with WHQL certification

The final version of Crimson ReLive 17.2.1 comes without any major news compared to what we already knew from the Beta version. An improvement in performance for the Sniper Elite 4 and For Honor games of around 5 and 4% respectively with the RX 480 card, an improvement that is not to throw rockets but is appreciated.

With the final version of Crimson ReLive 17.2.1, some crashes that happened with For Honor on computers with Crossfire configurations are fixed, video playback in DXVA H.264 formats and activation of FreeSync in certain applications are also fixed.

Although everything seems to be working fine, AMD is still going to have to deal with some drawbacks that still exist, such as flickering issues using Wattman on R9 380 graphics cards. The use of technology in FreeSync still presents problems in games like Sniper Elite 4, Counter Strike Go and World of Warcraft.

You can download these drivers automatically from the Crimson Relive application itself, or manually download from the AMD official site. In the meantime, we invite you to read our guide on the best graphics cards on the market.
