4K monitors are still out of reach for most users due to their high price and the hardware they need to run video games smoothly, however manufacturers already think beyond 4K and the first monitor with 5K resolution.
Dell has announced the world's first monitor with a 5K display, the Dell UltraSharp 27 Ultra HD 5K, with a 27-inch panel under a resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels (218 ppi). It features a 16W power Harman Kardon speaker system, a card reader, six USB ports, three HDMI-shaped display connections, and two DisplayPort 1.2 a.
It will go on sale at the end of the year for 2, 500 euros.
