Dell XPS 15 9560 is the first laptop with GTX 1050 and Kaby Lake

The GTX 1050 would come to replace the GTX 970M, which has somewhat similar benefits but consuming 25% less energy, which very positively affects the autonomy of the laptop.

This graphics card based on Pascal and on the GP107 chip, has 640 CUDA cores, 40 TMUs and 32 ROPs, along with about 4GB of GDDR5 memory. As you can see, the features are identical to a GTX 1050 desktop, but it is estimated that this version for laptop will come with a cut in clock speeds, all to take care of the autonomy of the new Dell ultrabook.

The Dell XPS 15 9560 appeared temporarily on the Dell website and was later erased. This happens because the laptop variant of the GTX 1050 has not yet been announced by Nvidia. The official presentation of this card is expected to take place at CES 2017, which will take place in Las Vegas from January 5.

Dell is also betting on Intel's new Kaby Lake processors, with three variants, i3-7100HQ, i5-7300HQ and i7-7700HQ, all three at the choice of buyers of this laptop.
