60 kids games full of adult content discovered on google play

Google has announced the withdrawal of 60 games from the Play Store. It happened after computer security company Check Point discovered they were displaying adult content in ads on them. In addition, they contained malicious software that could affect the privacy of users. The malware in question has been dubbed AdultSwine. It appeared to be displaying highly inappropriate advertisements.

The games infected by this malware were copies of famous titles like Angry Birds, among others. After downloading it to the phone, it was responsible for collecting data from the device and sending it to a server. Later he obtained instructions to infect said terminal. In addition, the application hid its icon once it was run. Something that makes it difficult to remove it.

5 million downloads

The malware then began to bombard the user with ads full of adult content. In fact, sometimes they even filled the entire screen and it was impossible for them to disappear. The most serious thing is that many of these applications and games were aimed at children. So they have been exposed to this type of content.

Also, before Google removed them, some of the games had over a million downloads. Some even had about 5 million downloads already. So there are many users exposed to this malware. Google has already removed them from the Play Store. In addition, they have blocked and deactivated developer accounts.
