Taiwanese researchers have created a way of driving with Drones controlled by Apple Watch with the movement of the hands. The feat is done using software for Apple Watch, once installed on the watch, it can recognize gestures and turn them into instructions for the robot.

Like using magic or "The Force" (Star Wars), the user can move their hands up, down or sideways to command the takeoff, landing and free flight of the drone, without buttons or remote control.

The researchers' intention is to use the software to control hands with virtually any device connected to the Internet, drones, cars and smart homes with (connected) home automation.

Another advantage is that the software is not exclusive to Apple Watch: iOS. According to the developers, the system can be installed on any portable device, as long as it is equipped with motion sensors such as a gyroscope and accelerometer. This means that to some extent it can also be compatible with any phone or tablet.

So far it is about research, there is no provision for the drone control program, it is not commercialized or will be made available to the public soon.
