The DWR-2010 5G NR Enhanced Gateway is one of the first of its kind to take full advantage of the AC / AX Wi-Fi bandwidth capacity to provide a wired Internet experience through mobile connectivity. The router has a built-in NSA 5G NR (New Radio) module and can operate at frequencies below 6 GHz or mmWave in 200 MHz (2 x 100 MHz) or 800 MHz (8 x 100 MHz) configurations.
5G speeds allow the DWR-2010 to take advantage of its Wi-Fi capacity, fully utilizing the bandwidth capacity of its wireless network to stream 4K video content and manage online gaming connections with little or no lag and storage buffered. It will also reduce the amount of knowledge and time required for installation, since it only takes one SIM card to create a home Wi-Fi network.
DWR-2010 5G Enhanced Gateway has the ability to transfer data at a theoretical maximum speed of 1732 Mbps over Wireless.
At the time of this writing, we don't know its price or release date. Since 5G is a very new technology, they will not be available in all regions, but it is interesting that routers that take advantage of this type of ultra-fast connection are already starting to appear.
