ECS announced the launch of its new ECS H310CH5-TI motherboard in a Mini-ITX format, and designed for Intel's Coffee Lake-S processors. It is a product focused on miniature systems, as well as compatible all-in-one desktops.

ECS H310CH5-TI with the simplest chipset from Intel

The new ECS H310CH5-TI motherboard is based on Intel's H310 chipset, and is therefore compatible with the company's 8th Generation Core i3 / i5 / i7 processors, as well as its Celeron and Pentium siblings plus cheap. The motherboard is equipped with a 4 + 1 phase VRM, which uses solid state coils and capacitors to extend the life of the platform, and ensure stability during high loads. ECS does not reveal which specific CPUs are rated for the motherboard, but given the fairly limited cooling of a Thin Mini-ITX chassis, it is to be expected that this motherboard is not recommended with a chip over 65W.

ECS H310CH5-TI has two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 32GB of DDR4-2667 memory, one M.2-2280 slot for PCIe / SATA SSDs, two 6 Gbps SATA connectors, and one M.2 slot for WiFi and BT. The motherboard has a GbE port (controlled by the Realtek 8111H chip), an HDMI 1.4 output, an HDMI 1.4 input, four USB 3.0 Type A connectors (two internal and two external), two USB 2.0 Type A ports and Realtek audio ALC662 with a six channel DAC.

Since Slim Mini-ITX motherboards can be used for special-purpose systems and highly integrated AIO desktop systems, it also has numerous internal headers, including a card reader header, a webcam header, a panel header touch, a camera header, and an IR sensor header. ECS has not disclosed the price of the motherboard.
