EK Launches EK-Velocity WS and EK-VRM ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme Metal Water Blocks

It's hard to deny that the Xeon W-3175X is the best processor available to consumers, especially when it's overclocked. Yes, AMD has its 32-core Ryzen Threadripper 2990 WX, but even when overclocked it is quite a challenge to reach speeds above 4GHz on all cores.

One of the few motherboards capable of mounting a Xeon W-3175X is the ASUS ROG Dominus, which is receiving a block of water to add liquid cooling to the entire package.

EK-Velocity WS is an ILM series water block, made of nickel-plated copper and with an all-metal design. This block also features built-in RGB lighting thanks to the block's illuminated EK logo, which supports ASUS RGB Aura Sync controls.

Moving on to the ASUS ROG Dominus series motherboard, we have the ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme EK-VRM, which is designed to keep the board's VRMs cool using a large cooling plate and direct contact thermal pads.

With water flowing over all the vital components of the VRM, the EK VRM Cooler will ensure that both the MOSFETs and the induction coils of the ROG Dominus remain cool under load, even when under extreme demand.

EK plans to ship its EK-Velocity WS and EK-VRM ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme water blocks on April 5, although they are already available for pre-sale.
