Ek presents velocity water block for threadripper tr4

We don't yet know how much performance AMD's Zen 2 processors will have, but we do know that in the case of Threadripper, the company's new chiplet design will be transformative for the TR4 platform. Manufacturer EK appears to be paving the way for the new generation Threadripper, with a new TR4 compatible waterlock.

In essence, TR4's memory structure will be significantly simplified with Zen 2 and third-generation Threadripper, a move that will likely fix many of the performance downsides in some applications.

EK has already begun to pave the way for the third-generation Threadripper by launching its TR4 water block, which will arrive with an improved fin structure and design that fits the rest of EK's modern line of Velocity water blocks.

With its new water block, EK offers a fin structure that covers the entire Threadripper CPU layout and offers 91 ' micro fins ' to allow for excellent levels of heat transfer.

EK's new Velocity TR4 water block will be available in three formats, Nickel + Plexi, Nickel + Acetal and Full Nickel, although the Plexi / Acetal versions will be available with and without RGB lighting options. The Full Nickel version also includes LED lighting, but it lacks a purchase option without RGB.

The new EK Velocity TR4 series water blocks are now available starting at € 99.90.
