EKWB is back with a new pair of water blocks. This time they are tempting owners of EVGA's “For the Win” FTW3 models, which are some of the company's fastest variants for the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti models, with digital RGB (D-RGB), announcing the Vector EK-Quantum FTW3 RTX 2080 D-RGB and the Vector EK-Quantum FTW3 RTX 2080 Ti D-RGB.

EKWB launches Vector EK-Quantum FTW3 RTX 2080 D-RGB water blocks and Vector EK-Quantum FTW3 RTX 2080 Ti D-RGB

The two blocks are largely identical, having only slight differences in their cold plate layout to accommodate the two different graphics cards.

In all EKWB GPU water blocks, the cold plate covers the GPU, memory and VRM circuits. The GPU portion of the cold plate uses “open split flow design” technology, which basically pushes fluid towards the center of the GPU section and extends it laterally from the center, rather than flowing through the GPU along its block length. This reduces hydraulic restriction by maintaining a high flow rate of the coolant, even on the weakest pumps.

EKWB has integrated D-RGB support, making the LEDs on the unit individually addressable for further customization. This differs from addressable RGB (aRGB), which uses a different connector and only allows you to have a different color on each device or to have the device change colors in sync.

EKWB comes out with two variants of each block. One with a clear acrylic cover (RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti) and one with an opaque acetal cover (RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti) that integrates D-RGB lighting in a different location for prices of $ 201.29 and $ 195.19, respectively.

Aluminum backplates are also available in black or nickel plated anodizing for $ 53.67 and $ 65.87, respectively
