Intel CFO talks about different topics about its CPUs

The economic status of a company is vital to keep pace with the market and competition. Therefore, knowing the estimates of people in the media is important.

Recently, Intel CFO George Davis answered a series of questions that impact the Blue team and its current state.

As we know, Intel will deploy 10nm processors in the portable world, as well as in the server world. However, despite AMD's technological advantage, the blue team looks set to remain passive towards desktop processors.

We are still very focused on gross margin. Everything from capital efficiency to the way we design our products.

What we have said, however, is that the 10nm delay means that we will be at a disadvantage for a while. We gave guidelines for the 2021 gross margin to make it understandable.

2023 is the period towards which we focus and where we will see strong growth and expansion margin.

We have to go through these times where the 10nm has been delayed a little, since the node we use is not optimized. But by then, we will advance to a cadence of two or two and a half years for the next nodes.

For this reason, we are withdrawing spending at 7nm, which will begin in the second half of 2021 because we believe it is the best decision.

Regarding the server section, the representative commented that Intel expected strong competition for the next year and a half or more. However, he assures that the company will maintain the philosophy it promised already in May.

As you can see, the blue team plans its assault at 7nm for the second half of 2021 . Not surprisingly, we hope that by then you have not lost too much, since the 10nm transistors seem to be resisting them.

Be that as it may, as soon as we have more news we will notify you instantly, so we recommend you stay tuned to our website.

And what do you think of the company's decisions? Do you think Intel should rush to jump to 7nm ? Share your ideas in the comment box.
