GPD Win Max will use the Ryzen Embedded V1000 SoC
Posted on the GPD Devices Discord channel, the new motherboard images clearly show the powerful AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processor powering this portable device. GPD's previous Win 2 device used an Intel Core m3-7Y30, so this seems like a big step in boosting the performance of this little PC gaming-focused laptop.
Using this processor would give the GPD Win Max a great performance advantage over Smach Z, the other competitor in this segment.
The GPD Win Max is equipped with a microSD card port, an HDMI port, USB type A ports and a USB-C port. Same as the original Win 2.

The Ryzen V1000 Embedded SoC processor has a power of 3.6 TFLOPs. This is achieved thanks to the 4 Zen cores and 11 GPU computing units. This would make the GPD Win Max perform twice as much as an original PlayStation 4, which has about 1.84 TFLOPs. Consumption, meanwhile, is between 12 W and 45 W, the ideal ratio for a portable device.
The GPD Win Max is slated to go out this year, with no exact release date. A new GPD Win 3 is also slated for release in 2020.
