After several weeks of rumors, we can now officially talk about Microsoft's new flagship with Windows 10 Mobile operating system. The new Microsoft Lumia 950XL comes with specifications to match only the largest to try to make things difficult for Google and its Android.

Microsoft Lumia 950XL to conquer the highest range

The Microsoft Lumia 950XL arrives with a 5.7-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (518 dpi) Quad HD resolution. Inside we find a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor at a maximum frequency of 2 GHz and the Adreno 430 GPU, a set that generates a lot of heat so Microsoft has opted for a liquid cooling system for its flagship smartphone. Accompanying the processor we find 3 GB of RAM and internal storage still unknown.

The terminal is powered by a 3, 300 mAh battery with “Qi wireless charging” fast charging and wireless charging technology and a USB 3.1 Type-C connector that promises to recharge 50% in just 30 minutes.

As for the software, we find Windows 10 Mobile, thanks to which we can turn the smartphone into a complete desktop PC thanks to the Dock Continuum accessory that offers the possibility of connecting a keyboard and mouse as well as HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. An idea very similar to that pursued by Canonical and its Ubuntu Edge that did not finally see the light, once again Microsoft and Windows are ahead.

As for optics, the terminal does not disappoint with a 20 megapixel rear camera, triple LED flash and Carl Zeiss technology to offer the best quality and capture videos at 4K resolution. On the front we see a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash.

It will arrive throughout the month of November for an approximate price of 650 euros.

Microsoft Lumia 950, a step below its older brother

Microsoft has also introduced the Lumia 950, a terminal with slightly lower specifications than the Lumia 950XL but that still does not have much to envy its older brother.

The Lumia 950 sees its screen reduced to about 5.2 inches while maintaining the same Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and AMOLED and ClearBlack technologies . Its processor is also a very powerful Snapdragon 808 (without liquid cooling) and attached to the same 3 GB of RAM.

As for the optics, the only difference with its older brother is the absence of the LED flash in the front camera, in the rear everything remains exactly the same. Finally we find a 3, 000 mAh battery and the very same Continuum Dock accessory .

Its price will be approximately 550 euros
