The samsung exynos 7420 has tremendous performance
A Geekbench benchmark result has been leaked that will give Qualcomm and the rest of the manufacturers more of a headache as the Samsung Exynos 7420 shows unmatched multi-core performance.
The test shows the Exynos 7420 with a single core score of 1520 points, beating all the processors used in Android devices except Nvidia's Tegra K1, which gets around 1800 points. However, in the multi-core test, the Samsung chip sweeps all current devices, obtaining a score of 5, 478 points, a figure much higher than that obtained by other devices.
The secret to the Exynos 7420's excellent performance could lie in using a 14nm FinFET manufacturing process when its rivals are still stuck in the 28nm or 20nm planar.
Samsung can certainly take a big advantage on mobile devices by exclusively using its new exynos 7420 chip at 14nm FinFET.
