The new Kindle was scheduled to be officially unveiled this week but from Asia they have ruined Amazon's surprise by showing the Kindle Oasis, the eighth generation of e-books after the success of the Kindle Paperwhite.

The Kindle Oasis screen will be another of the beneficiaries of this eighth generation of Amazon e-books, going to a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (dpi) that would, of course, offer greater sharpness in the image. Its weight would be at 131 grams, which translates into 20% lighter than the Kindle Papaerwhite and the thickness would be 3.4mm for its thinnest area and 8.5mm.
